Clean lines accentuate the new home

Clean lines, open social areas, a convenient second-floor laundry, and an unfinished basement–equipped with additional living space–are just some of the highlights of this newly constructed two-story home.

The frame home at 4248 Willow Hills Drive, listed for $349,000 by Berkshire Hathaway Home Service Professionals, has 2,240 square feet of living space. The property is located in the new Willow Hills section of Riverside, at the end of a cul-de-sac and backs onto the communal areas with a fountain pond. The front has been created with youthful landscaping around the front entrance and concrete driveway to the attached two car garage. Seed planted in deep backyard and has some new growth.

There are many existing homes within the neighbourhood, and more are being added to the two phase development.

Built earlier this year, the home has five bedrooms and has been certified energy efficient. The neutral colors of light gray and white allow for personalized décor. Flooring consists of light gray carpet and gray wood grain vinyl. The cabinet has contemporary lines and no hardware. The lighting is an LED can that accentuates large areas.

The formal entrance opens through a covered front door directly into an open concept great room that spans the width of the home. Wood vinyl flooring creates a small entry panel near the front door and guest closet. Carpets fill the great room with windows facing the front and back of the house. There is plenty of wall space for furniture and floor plan options. A semi open staircase leads to the second floor and door opens to a half bath with pedestal basin.

The spacious fully fitted kitchen with stainless steel appliances – including range, microwave, dishwasher and fridge – is located off the great room towards the rear of the house. There is a window above the double sink and the island has an extended countertop to allow for breakfast bar seating. Wood floors fill the kitchen and adjoining breakfast area which has sliding patio doors. Currently, patio doors are off-limits for safety as there is no access from the patio doors to the backyard. Off the kitchen is an entry nook with pantry cupboard and inset access to the garage.

A door off the kitchen opens onto the stairs to the not fully finished basement. The vault was designed to allow for the possibility of finishing as there is a 9-foot ceiling. The mechanical systems are tucked along the wall out of the way. Storage possibilities under the stairs.

Five bedrooms and two full bathrooms are located on the second level. The master bedroom has two separate walk-in closets and a full en-suite bathroom. The bathroom features a double raised bathtub and walk-in fiberglass walk-in shower with sliding glass doors.

The upstairs hallway wraps around the other four bedrooms, each with a very spacious single door or walk-in wardrobe. The guest bathroom has a double sink and a bathtub/shower. At the end of the hallway is the laundry nook, complete with washer and dryer.
